  Interesting tunes lash....

"Holier than though", could be interpretated ,a lot of different ways.

 But I can listen to it,and enjoy it on a scale of over 50 out of 100.

Some I won't listen to for more than 10 secs,and they get no more air time in my world...

Leonardo was one of my daughters heart throbs back then  (in the glorious imagination of a young girl)..

Metallica  - The God That Failed

Now if you look at the title alone it's a song that's bashing god...BUT...when you understand the story you see that it's not talking about god or anything in-particular it's just commenting on any idea that has let you down.

Jame's mother died when he was 16 because of cancer and she didn't get help from a doctor (good thing in my mind) but she left it up to god (her belief/idea) and it failed. If you read the lyrics closely you'll see that but if you read the title along or take the lyrics at face value then you miss that.

I like to understand songs; there are very few songs I listen to that I don't care about the meaning behind them (I don't listen to bollock songs though).

For a man who's made his fame and money singing fast songs, songs about death, just heavy songs you know...to make and sing them for years and then to come out with that takes balls and he earns a lot of respect in my book for that.

That's one of the only two performances that song has ever had so we're lucky to have it on tape.
