Is it tomorrow yet?  :P

When I was in high school we didn't have to pass a cumulative test to graduate.  We just had to pass with enough credits from taking enough courses.

I was going on a galactic `tomorrow`. :D lol.

I’m not too sure how GCSE’s work to be honest, I was meant to take an IGCSE which is much harder (even that was too easy).

With a GCSE your final grade is made up on the work you’ve done in the year, I think 60% of you grade comes from that and 40% comes from the test you have to take at the end of the year.

With IGCSE’s you turn and take the test. It doesn’t matter how much of the work you did before the test it’s all discounted and it comes down to that one test.

We don’t have a credit system, I think. You take what ever you take and that’s final.

Some more on this, only this is mainly looking at what Labour has done to the education system in the country.

Public school through high school is "free".  It's funded by property taxes mostly, some state and federal taxes get mixed in there too.  But, in poor areas there is less funding because the property values are less.  Private schools cost money, I'm not sure how much and it depends on the school.

We do have a test called a GED that is supposed to be the high school equivalent.  But, from what I've heard it isn't very hard.  My boyfriend passed it at 14, I think, which is too young.  But, it was too late, he had passed it and therefore graduated.  Legally you're supposed to be 16 to even take the test.  The schools get federal money for student attendance.  They want to keep the kids locked up in school as long as they can, whether they learn anything or not.  Personally, I believe in homeschooling.  Kids who are homeschooled actually do better on tests.

I had to translate that there. Public school is the top school here, Eaton and others. You meant state schools.

You learn more at home as well, more about real life things and not just how to work a calculator. You get to do things you enjoy as well, there is no way I would have been able to get to the level of cricket (your favourite game love lol ) if I went to school.

I never quite got there sadly; not my fault either, if someone wont answer his phone there’s nothing I can do.
