MMR side-effects and my calculations (god help us)

I've just got back from Tokyo and I'm really tired so I'm going to try to sleep for a bit.

Lol. I thought you didn’t like Tokyo? You’re just trying to compete with me aren’t you? ;) I’m still suffering `shell-shock` from my trip to London last month. Lol.

Lashmar.  you are correct insomuch as your maths is appalling.  But not to worry.  Mine probably isn't any better.

If that was true I'd feel sorry for you.  :D Nobody is as bad at maths and shit as me.

Quote
•   Fever (up to 1 person out of 6)
•   Mild rash (about 1 person out of 20)
•   Swelling of glands in the cheeks or neck (rare)
If these problems occur, it is usually within 7-12 days after the shot. They occur less often after the second dose.

Moderate Problems
•   Seizure (jerking or staring) caused by fever (about 1 out of 3,000 doses)
•   Temporary pain and stiffness in the joints, mostly in teenage or adult women (up to 1 out of 4)
•   Temporary low platelet count, which can cause a bleeding disorder (about 1 out of 30,000 doses)
We’ll start with the mild problems.

Well I'm probably embarrassing myself, but I think your figures ammount to approximately half of all vaccine recipients having contraindications of some kind.

I just used 30,000 as the common unit and multiplied the figures to be correct as for 30,000.

ie - if 1 in 3,000 gets (x) side-effect, then that would be 10 people in 30,000.  1 in 4 would translate to 7,500 people in a 30,000 person sample.

I actually make it 14,010 people have a side effect out of 30,000.

*  But it isn't impossible for someone to argue otherwise.  I read your stats as if they are not necessarily mutually exclusive.

I think there must be a better way to ascertain the deletarious effects of alleged vaccines. -  I'm quite good at picking holes in your theories, but I'm afraid I haven't got anything better with which to substitute them for.

I find this quite funny. Three people have come up with three completely different numbers. I came up with 1/9, DT with 1/4 and you with 1/2.

SRO, my other third-party, agreed with DT. As you said though, nobody can argue otherwise because they are real stats.

I have a nice thread for you both, Toppy as well if he wishes, in a minuet. ;D

Thank you, Day-Tripper.

I have been thinking about growing herbs, and I couldn't decide.  But I will try sage -  now I'll have to find it somewhere.

Very interesting.  Thank you.

Thank you for telling me what that creature is.  I've heard of a groundhog but I've never seen one.

What are they good for besides national defense?

Predicting the weather I guess.  Punxsutawny Phil said last February that there would be 6 more weeks of winter.
