I’ll let DT and Mael tell you about honey and such stuff but first I’ll add my own.

Arnica ointment. Arnica flowers (just the flower), sunflower oil, organic olive oil, vitamin E and beeswax

This is what the Arnica flower looks like and you can grow them very easily in your garden. I, along with many others, can vouch for it and I’ve found it works very well for deep bruises.

Link for the seeds

Nettle oil/ointment for muscle pain as well (most of the time I use white horse oil though). I’ve only used nettle ointment a few times but it seemed to work very well, I pulled my hamstring at the time and it fucking hurt.  :'(

I found this and it seems intresting if you can get the dosage right:

Quote
The herbs icluded in my Yoga Oil are:- Arnica, Comfrey, Linseed Oil, White Willow, Wintergreen Oil and Rescue Remedy. Linseed, a critical ingredient in this mix, lubricates joints, restores and extends flexibility, renews elasticity while lengthening and strengthening tendons. The other ingredients work together to support this restoration and to heal any bruising, improve circulation to the area and reduce inflammation as you ask your ligaments and joints to stretch and rotate through a greater and greater range.

Edit: Food is also welcome because that is the main thing you need to stay healthy. ;D

LASH you ROCK!!!!!!!!  ;D

Have you been told today what a beautiful human being you are?  If not yet, let me be the first today.  :) ;D

Let's start with the lowly dandelion.  I have a great folk song about that one.  The greens are high in nutrients, I made a great fritter with the flower last year.  It is quite easy.  I used organic wheat flour with buttermilk.  I also made a great nettle soup last year.  I forget what all I put in it, but damn it was good!  It certainly didn't last long.

Now, my grandmother loved kale.  Often when I buy kale the grocery check out person doesn't know the number to punch up.  Uggh!  My grandmother knew her veggies that would grow in cold climates.  She was born in northern Wisconsin and descendant from the Danes.  Kale is one of the coolest (in many respects) veggies ever.  Eat it raw in salads, it has a ton of vitamins.  Cook it at low temps with oil and sea salt, and it's just like potato chips.  Kale grows way far into the fall.  Another wonderful plant!

Also, rose hips, they're high in vitamin C.  My grandmother would eat these because her body craved them.  They come out in the fall/winter.  Nature is beautiful and works well!  That is, until evil ones attempt (notice my use of words) to subvert Nature.  Mother Nature Always wins. ;)

I do. I’ve never been called beautiful human being though. I was called `pure evil` by my girlfriend yesterday if that counts?

Rose hip jelly is pretty nice. ;D I hate salads.  >:(

Talking of exercise. Something that is incredibly over-rated is long distance running. You don’t need to run for hours to get fit. I can’t run for an hour, I have better things to do with my time, but I can do sprint training.

What I do is have two points, can be you water bottle and a jumper or something like that, and put them 20 yards apart. In the first go you sprint between the markers 5 times and then walk one; in the second you sprint 4 and then walk one and then you do the same with 3, 2, 1. It may not sound much but once you’ve just ran 5 lengths you’re pretty tired.  :'(

You might want to mix it up a bit as well, I hate these ones but I do it anyway; once you’ve finished one set of lengths and you’ve walked the 1 length do 5 push-ups. You know your doing it right if by the time you get down to 2 or 1 you wish you were dead.;) lol.

I normally add that onto my normal practise, which basically entails of three hours of running in one form or another.

Another way to get fit is to do Lactic Acid training…as you can tell by the name it’s fucking hard and it’s fucking painful but it pays off after a few days of doing it. Lactic Acid is the stuff that gives you a stitch when running and LA training, basically, makes your body better at dealing with it. All a stitch is the acid built up when your running and then your body not being able to get rid of it.

I’ve probably always done a form of LA training but I’ve never done it as the main goal, it’s always been the by-product. :D

Another good one, this is mainly for people who play sports like baseball and the likes though, is reaction training. It’s fun but at the same time it’s hard work because your rising up and down all the time (trying to catch a ball in my case) and your moving side to side quite a bit. Get someone to hit a ball firmly at you, have them stand at a distance that your comfortable with and then have them move closer to you until they’re about 6 foot away from you but hitting the ball just as hard.

I have someone that stands about 6 or 7 foot away from me and they change it up between hard hits and little soft hits. That is how I cracked three fingers once but fuck it ;D. Just try it once and you’ll see how quickly I move. ;)

A combination of exercise is far more important than long distance running.

I’m starting up again after January and I’m not looking forward to the first few weeks. Lol.  :P
