Small update

Sorry all I’ve just been busy the last few days. I’ve ran out of money for the internet (hence why I’ve not been here) and Kim’s developed swine flu. Her temperature is now down to 102, was up at 104 a little while ago, but she been sleeping pretty much all day; the few times she did wake up to eat or drink they came back up within a few minuets. She’s just had some soup but it hasn’t come up yet so that’s a good sign.

I notice hardly any new threads.  >:( Do you miss me that much? lol.

I've also seen the youtube page you set up Toppy. ;D

Well heck yeah I miss you bud. lol

I am sorry to hear about Kim. I hope everything turns out ok and let us know her progress Lash.

I have been busy all weekend. I had to work for uncle sam. That is the reason for my absence the last few days, but I am ready to get back to work.  :)

Sorry to hear that Lassie, how did she get it in the first place?

She works in a shop and one of the little old ladies passed it onto her.

She’s managing to keep food down now. I’ve come to the conclusion that Daytime TV is shit so I’m watching sport instead. I’ve just watched the Heavyweight fight from last night (Dave beat the shit out of the 7ft Russian dude by the way), I’m about to watch the highlights of the Rugby and then Skiing. I have nothing else to do so I might as well watch that. She’s getting better though, never seen anyone sleep this much though. :P lol.

Damn!  I missed this.  I've been in the boonies for a couple days.

Give her vitamin C, vitamin D-3, garlic, ginger.  You cannot OD on vitamin C, so give her enough to make her pee orange.  For vitamin D, make sure it is D-3 and not D-2 and give her about 10,000 IUs a day.  Remember, vitamin D is a fat based vitamin, so for it to work give her some good fat before the vitamins.  Good fat like fish oil.  Garlic is best eaten raw, but many people don't like that.  If you must cook it, I've made baked garlic and smashed it on crackers when I've had colds and it helps as well.  Both garlic and ginger are natural antibiotics.  Ginger tea is good with some lemon and honey.  Another thing you can do with ginger that has great health benefits, is to brew your own ginger-ale.  If you're interested in how to do this, I can add some links or you can just google it.  There are a couple of different methods that I know of.  The cool thing about fermentation is that it has the good bacteria that we ingest and reinvigorates our natural immune system.

Now, how does she know it's swine flu?  They stopped testing for swine flu months ago.

Keep us updated.  I wish you and yours the best!

One more thing, stay away from all sugar.  Sugar compromises the human immune system and stops it from working.

DT is right. Give her what DT just listed aboe.

There is also things you can buy off the shelf that alot of people use to get rid of marijuana in there system. I forgot what they are called, but walgreens, rite aid and even wall-mart has things that detox the body. Go to the pharmacy and ask for over the counter detox. It helps get rid of unwanted chemicals in the body and helps the body regulate the circulatory of the cells.

I've been meaning to brew some more ginger-ale, but haven't yet.  But, now my boyfriend bought some cool vodka with the cool tops that are great for brewing, I'm gonna have to make some.  But, first I have to finish the vodka. :D  And ginger-ale would be a much better mixer than that coke crap my boyfriend often buys.  He does try to buy the pop with the real sugar, but that can only be bought a certain stores.  It sucks.

Here is a pic of the vodka and the bottle that is cool for fermenting.  I don't have to worry about it exploding.  I've got beer bottles like that too.  I had to drink the beer just for the bottles. ;)  It was tough.  8)

Sorry Lash, I didn't mean to sidetrack.  I'll blame the vodka.

Give her vitamin C, vitamin D-3, garlic, ginger.

One of the first things her mother did (when she could keep things down that is) was make her some orange and ginger soup oddly.

As for knowing if it’s swine flu or not; I know her doctor from the cricket club. ;D Lol. He thinks its swine flu but he doesn’t like to give people pills to get better, he gave her the Vitamin-D pills (I’m not sure if they’re D-3 because I can’t find it on the fucking label).

From what I remember a fever of 103F does something to the white blood cells so they acclimate on and around the lungs causing the body to produce huge amounts of phlegm. It might be 105F though, 105 indicates bacterial infection rather than viral.

I've kept her away from sugar as well by the way, I was working on the idea than it feeds things like cancer so it might do the same for the flu.

Edit: sorry. Forgot to say that she's better today, she has slept through most of it though. lol.

First things. DT she wasn’t too keen at your garlic love. Lol. She tried a little bit but did like it at all.  She seems to be getting better though. She didn’t have a good night (at all, up and down to the bathroom every few minuets because the crap decided to come off her lungs) but she’s much better now. ;D
