THIS IS THE TIP OF THE TIP OF A HUGE ICEBERG. Big Bucks, Big Pharma pulls back the curtain on the multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical industry to expose the insidious ways that illness is used, manipulated, and in some instances created, for capital gain. Focusing on the industry's marketing practices, media scholars and health professionals help viewers understand the ways in which Direct-To-Consumer pharmaceutical advertising glamorizes and normalizes the use of prescription medication, and works in tandem with promotion to doctors. Combined, these industry practices shape how both patients and doctors understand and relate to disease and treatment. Ultimately, Big Bucks, Big Pharma challenges us to ask important questions about the consequences of relying on a for-profit industry for our health and well-being. Featuring interviews with Dr. Marcia Angell (Dept. of Social Medicine, Harvard Medical School; Former Editor New England Journal of Medicine), Dr. Bob Goodman (Columbia University Medical Center; Founder, No Free Lunch), Gene Carbona (Former Pharmaceutical Industry Insider and Current Executive Director of Sales, The Medical Letter), Katharine Greider (Journalist; Author, The Big Fix: How the Pharmaceutical Industry Rips Off American Consumers,), Dr. Elizabeth Preston (Dept. of Communication, Westfield State College), and Dr. Larry Sasich (Public Citizen Health Research Group). Did you put this up for me?  8)

I became very angy!  Nothing against you.  No bad intent!

If so, I appreciate it.  I just can't handle it today.]]

Ahhh....so many things I want to say

Take your Vitamin C!  I made a great juice with apples, carrots, and grapes tonight.

Oh come on.  Can't I at least have the illusion that the "world revolves around me"?  8) ;D

By the way, this is important information.  My reaction to it is my problem.  Bitching about it is how I get it out.

BTW, I bought some cranberries.  ;D How does cran-apple juice sound?  ;D

Oh and that Ginger-ale....it exploded.  I'm gonna havfta try fermenting it with whey, not yeast.  The Ginger-Ale was like champagne.  The second bottle I had to open out side.  Now, their lids are off, but covered. 8)

Wow...this is like a metaphor for life...

Either that or I am crazy...not on enough drugs.  8) 8) That is the definition of crazy today...not on enough drugs. >:(

Oh fuck it...I'm drunk!  It's fun!

See yah Toppy and Lashy.  ;D
