I’m writing to you to ask two questions, the first of which I’m sure you’ve answered many times in the last few days.

Firstly; is it at all possible for the British public, indeed the population of Europe as well, to challenge the appointment of Baroness Ashton or Herman Van Rompuy through parliament or through their legal system? I understand that there is very little we can do about the Lisbon treaty and remain in the EU as we are now but is there anyway to challenge the people who hold the posts that the Lisbon Treaty has created? Is there any potential for the Presidential and Foreign Affairs posts to be elected posts and could this be something forced through a European court or is it too late now the treaty has been made into law? Even though it is far from ideal, I like many would rather not be in the EU at all, it would be much better than we have now.

Secondly; with the Lisbon Treaty now in affect (or should it be effect DT love?) how far does the EU’s power extend? Do countries still have control over their firearms laws are or they now controlled by the EU? Even though firearm laws seem to have been pushed to the back burner I believe that the banning of handguns in 1997 has had no affect whatsoever on crime, they’ve possibility had a detrimental effect, and people should be able to have a proper discussion about the firearm laws and to have proper debates in the Commons.

I am currently reading through Jean-Peter Bonde reader friendly edition of the Lisbon Treaty, the original must have been murder to try and read, and so far I have not been able to find an answer to either sadly.

I believe it should be effect rather than affect.

If I remember correctly, affect has a bit of emotion involved or change of heart.  Like we affect one another when we share information.  Whereas effect is a direct cause/effect type thing.  If I throw a penny in the air, the effect is that it will fall on the ground and make a sound.

Also, removing firearms from law abiding citizens has increased crime in your country.  It has had the opposite effect of what was claimed.

Thats an understatement Lash! There is a lot more than we could possibly know that is going on behind the scenes.

I am a little off topic with this thread, but these politicians are working secretly with the Wall street banksters and the world financial elite. They do it to further there career as well as helping this NWO agenda!

I agree that most of the politicians in the big parties are; I don't think many in UKIP or small partied can be accused of that though, if they are in it for their own gain then they should have gone with one of the bigger parties. lol. I don’t know if you have the Party Whip in Yank politics (you probably do) but basically it’s his job to make sure politicians in his party follow the party line; if you’re a good boy and follow the party line you get a reward but if you don’t do as the whip says you’re career is hampered.

Can you guys call their offices?  I've been told that phone calls are more effective than emails.  And here in the US, I'm not sure how many actually open their snail mail.  That whole US made anthrax thing I think still scares a few of them here.
