Do you have any abiding memories of the decade? What tech do you thing was the most important breakthrough/gadget of the last ten years as well?

I do have a few very good memories to share even though you won’t know them yourself.

The first one, most important as well, was when we beat the Bastard Australians, with a drop goal, at the 2003 Rugby World Cup final. This was the best moment of my life, until the next video that is, but sadly not the original commentators who were much better:

You won’t understand why but this was the best moment in my life and I can’t ever see that changing. 18 years we went without beating the little fuckers (Aussies again) but we did it in 2005 and we fucking stuffed them (arrogant Wankers). This was the most patriotic I’ve ever seen this country; we gave the Major of London the Finger and got the flag of St. George out (he banned the flag in London because it was Racists even though it is the flag on England!) and we sang Jerusalem, rule Britannia and any other ENGLISH patriotic song you can think of…god forbid we can be English.

There are other memories I have but they’re the ones that will always stick in my mind.

The most important tech breakthrough I would say has got to be Broadband internet because even though internet was around before the start of this millennium it was nowhere near as wide spread; and it was the first internet connection you could watch videos on and you don’t have that horrid sound as the modem is connecting either.

The most important tech gadget is going to be a hard one…laptops you can move without the aid of a fucking crane is a good one but I don’t think that’s the winner. I think it’s going to be either the “I” brand (IPhone, IPod and any other ISomething they have) or invention of HD TV.

For the people who have seen HD (the Girlfriend has it) it’s pretty cool but have you ever watched porn on it? Hence why it’s in there for me, it took the pleasure of porn to a whole new level.

On another note. The thing I hate about the last ten years in Text Messaging; what the fuck has gone on there? People have gone backwards; for years people were trying to invent something so people didn’t have to write letter when they wanted to speak to someone so why the fuck go backwards? It makes no sense.
