I have, I used to work on a reservation. But, if you don't know the Indians, don't drink with them. Even if you do know them, realize the majority hate all white people and the alcohol can bring that out. Indian bars are known for fights. If it's just Indians there, they fight amongst themselves. If there is a white person there, they're all going to target you.

I had never felt racial prejudice against me before I worked on a reservation. I grew up in a mostly white area. Even Seattle is mostly white with Asians. But, I was warned that things happen to people on reservations that never get talked about. American Indians are some of the biggest racists I've ever met. They're even racist against other nations. I have a friend who is from Metlakatla Alaska, he hates Tlingits (pronounced Klinkit). My friend's tribe is Tsimshian (pronounced shim shan). Their tribes would fight each other. The Tlingits took slaves. Sometimes, to show wealth, they'd free the slaves. Other times, to show wealth, they'd kill the slaves.

I had another friend who was a "half breed". He was part Swinomish and part Lummi. He went over to another tribe's reservation, the Nooksak, and the kids there wanted to fight him because he wasn't Nooksak. Although, Nooksak and Lummis used to be very closely related. Many Nooksaks and Lummis have intermarried. Oh, and they too have a thing about keeping their lineage clean of outside people. It's forbidden for many to marry outside their race.
