I said I'll give them three weeks and I will. After the three weeks is up and they haven't made an effort to quite (I'll accept cutting down) then I'll get onto them. I'm rather looking forward to describing the damage these chemicals are doing to their bodies.

I'm self taught in biology, meaning I can put things into simple English and paint a horrific picture at the same time. ;) ;D

Panda should be somewhat simple, she's a woman...they think with their emotions so I only need to pull the right string and she'll quite.

Tell your friend that you don't need all the quantitative information to be accurate per cigarette, all you need is to find out the chemical process that occurs. This means that rather then actually use cigarettes, he can just find out what hydrogen cyanide does when it burns, but not necessarily in quantities that are present in cigarettes.

This will yield less lab time, and it will still present the most important information. I can manually determine amounts if I've got a periodic table of elements, access to the internet, and the amount present in unburnt tobacco.

I'll ask him. I think I know his answer though "if you're going to do it, do it right". I will ask him though. ;D

Dave fill this form out, I'll send it to little one in a minuet:

You can select which chemical you want to find out about as well. ;D

Edit: it's in Metric as well by the way; I'm going to be as lost as the yanks here because I don't use that system, the only time I do is when I'm dealing with millimeters. lol.

Metric is the most logical way to go, since it's by far the most simple and sensical, and it's what the whole worlds scientists use because of that, so it's compatible.

I agree with using it in science but I don't use it (or understand it for the most part) when I try to use it in, for example, a shop.

Ha ha. Man i should be glowing then. I've been smoking for over 30 years now. but i do have heart disease now. Got my third stint put in my heart in December. I am quiting soon. My cardio doctor gave me a perscription for Chantix. Have'nt filled it yet. They are killing me. Regnad will tell ya that. This last stint did work out. They put a new one inside of another one that was failing. Now my chest pain is worse all the time. Sucks. Doc wants me to quit before anything else.

Hey, be careful of the side effects of Chantix.  It causes weird dreams and possible depression/suicide.

There is a happy pill they used to give for quitting smoking.  I forget the name.  But, the people I've known who've used these drugs go back to smoking after a few months.  The effect is temporary.

Check out this link and see what you think:  http://www.quitsmokingonline.com/

Also, Dr. Mercola has talked about EFT.  I've never really tried it, but it's free, painless, and a person at the BV said it helped her.  Who knows?  http://www.emofree.com/

If I can keep my aloe plant alive I may try tobacco next.  My boyfriend has some seeds.

Okay, sorry for not getting back SRO mate. My friends mother died a few days after I gave him the fags and he's been impossible to reach. :(

Anyway I asked him what would happen to the Hydrogen Cyanide and he said that there's a high chance the fag would get hot enough to separate the elements in it.

Given that his mother died I'm not sure when he'll be doing the test now...I'll let you know when I know.

Edit: He also said, I'm not sure if he was joking (I don't think he was), that if you could isolate some of the chemicals and bond them together in the right amount you would have the ingredients to make either hair gel or high-explosives! lol. It's worrying what they put in these fags.

By the way Sheye is quiting as well; she's trying the gradual cut down method and she's hit a block at 7, for the time being at any rate.

Eman how are you going with this mate? Have you stayed clear of them since your last op?
