I want to thank all of you for reigniting these thought provoking ideas for me again.  It was this sort of thing and "conspiracies" that first attracted me to forums in the first place.  After a while I got burned out from talking with people who still wear blinders.

Earthman, it is very possible that aliens had a very significant role in human history.  I can only imagine how different the skies looked back then before light pollution, planes and satellites.  However, I don't believe the 10 commandments were necessary for morality.  We can look at cultures that evolved before being introduced to the Torah and see that they too had morality without ever knowing who Moses was.  Besides, 4Etznab is right, the 10 commandments that Christians are familiar with aren't really what Moses was given.  Moses went up the mountain a couple of times.  The first time he screwed up and dropped one of the things the commandments were written on.  The second time up the mountain, with the specific materials, is the covenant that Moses' people are bound by.  That includes not boiling a ewe in it's mother's milk.

4Etznab, for years I've been saying that quantum physics will one day prove the Tao.  There is something with the Asian philosophies that seem to resonate with me, like Buddhism and the Tao and Zen.  Mind you, I don't claim to practice any of them, I just read about them. 

I like Bill Hick's take on life.  The quantum physics part reminded me of this "positive drug story".
