  I'm going to go with the idea,that there are extraterrestrials that care more about humans,then many humans do.

  That comforts me to some degree,but I also believe there are the extraterrestrials that just wish to use the earth,and the humans on it for their purposes,,and they may have been doing this already,as humans work for their gain>(mining of certain materials needed by them)..,as well as other things.

I agree because we live in a time were people use you for all your worth and when you worth run`s out there done with you. So why wouldn`t other being`s do the same thing. I would hope this isn`t true but you know how it goes.
