Man, it was clear out last night. Finally got to get the scope out last night. Been some years since i got to see Saturn. First time with my new scope. My friend wasnt here with the camera so no shot to show you all. I'm going to call him after a bit and see if he will be here tonight. Supposed to be clear again. It has been forever since it was clear enough to go out with it. Looked at Orion's neb and the horsehead neb too. Mars is up to but not much to see. Anybody who wants to come is welcome. Shame most of you live to far away. Regnad is only 40 miles away. His place is the best place to set up. He is out of the city lights and he wants to use he camper as a command center so we can set up and run the computer cords in the camper and stay warm and control the scope from there. I need a good CCD imager to make that all work good. Some day i hope. lol. Around a grand for a good imager. That is all i need . Just talked to Regnad on the phone, he is off to have breakfest somewhere.

I saw something in the sky yesterday evening and It wasn't a plane, Satellite, or a UFO. I am damn sure it was a planet, but I just am not informed enough to know which one. The sun was setting as it was shining through a cloud, and at the top of the cloud was this white looking object. Maybe it could have been Mercury or Venus?

Hopefully this summer i can a ccd imager going. That can give us remote access. You, Sheye, could connect and control the scope your self and take your own photos. Regnad got me a 100 foot com cable that i can use. Just need a good imager. And sure, tag along. I love to show and talk about the wonders of "Out There". I'm going to take the scope out soon and retrain the drive. It's all computerized. But in this cold, i can't stay out to long because the scope can frost up. They make heaters and such but i'm just starting out. We are planning on building an observatory out back this spring. The owner of the land is going to help. We already have most of the lumber.
