Wow, there is some truth in hip-hop. ;)

I'll tell you what...ugh...that shit used to actually get to me.  I mean, I used to believe that propaganda and hype.  I used to think that I was supposed to be blond haired, blue eyed, and big chested.  I used to believe that my body was all I had going for me.  I'm not sure that any man can imagine what this propaganda does to a little girl.  They start us out first with the fairy tales of some prince making us live "happily ever after", then there is the propaganda machine that has the token blonde and the token brunette.  I remember asking my father who was prettier in Charlie's Angels, Farah or Jacklyn Smith.  Farah was the blonde and I have brown hair.

Ugh....I have a huge problem with all this type of marketing.  Thank God, I have brains and questions.  Thank God for Grandmas with wisdom.

I tried going blond once.  Heh, I used only peroxide.  My hair turned orange.  :D ;D  Then, I tried to turn it back... :D At one point I had three different shades in my hair.  Eventually it grew out and I haven't dyed it since. :)

I died of laughter when the gay voice bit came up...that was funny as fuck. That is a brilliant anti-propaganda song though. I've never been one to follow the "pop" culture and I've never liked women who try to be super pretty.

Dude....

I went from being told that all I had to make me worthwhile was my virginity to the propaganda machine...

FUCK it is really confusing growing up as a girl.  I don't know what you guys experience.  But, I wasn't supposed to think, enjoy math or as you Brits call it maths.  I wasn't supposed to enjoy chess or Rubic's Cube...I collect them.  But, I am supposed to be what I am not, blonde, blue eyed and a C or D cup.  I could get there if I was fat, died my hair (intentionally spelled wrong) and paid for fake tits.

But, fuck propaganda.  I AM.  ;)

Wha whoo!  I WIN!!!!!

Not that theres anything wrong with women who are naturally like that.

Here it's pretty simple. We're meant to grow up, have kids and then fuck off and leave the woman to raise the kid because men are completely useless and women should be left to run everything.

I'm not having a go at you, but  men who are completely useless and  fuck off are still boys or 'coming men.'

...  However, if she doesn't appreciate a husband and being husbanded then that's her loss!  Feel sorry for the kids tho'.

It would indeed be funny if young teenage girls make this song a 'hit.'

I agree 100% mate. It's what we're told though.  >:(

*  Very astute!   It is  what we are told.  One problem arising from this is that more and more people are taking it on board and end up fucking off and being useless.

But there's a hard core who won't be conned and the more messed-up other men get, the more resolved my kind is to stand firm and try to be responsible. (But I kin tells ya that I've gone through some hurdles ...  It took years to wean myself of some of the more destructive popular concepts foisted on us through the media).

I reckon in the States and in the UK, where women have more power under the law, men might as well play Russian Roulette than get hitched.

(But there are of course some better quality and less tainted women about, like DT). :)

Thank you mael. :D

In Washington state men get completely screwed if/when they divorce with kids.  The wife gets the house and the kids even if she can't afford the payments on the house.  She can literally get more than half of everything.

The propaganda to make men wussies here doesn't seem to be as bad as in the UK.  There are a few "metro-sexuals" in the city that walk around with purses.  But, I've met enough real men like my boyfriend.  He doesn't act like a female, he acts like a man.  It's nice.  When I'm with him I feel protected and safe.  He is old fashioned, he opens doors for me and that type of chivalry stuff.

This women's lib thing screwed society up a lot.  Women have to work outside the home now and don't raise their own kids.  Divorce is higher than it used to be.  The government is raising the kids now in public schools and day cares.  I think the women who belong to organizations like NOW feel themselves to be inferior to men.  I don't want "equality" with men, I already know that we are the superior gender.  :P ;D
