D_T,
Let me guess,
you used to be a,
high school cheerleader,
type, Right?

 :D

 :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

You kidding?  :D :D :D :D :D :D

Nah, I hung with the stoners.  I was the "good kid" who hung with the "bad kids".  I played mom/counselor in high school.  At one point I was called Dr. D_T because I listened and had good advice.  "Cheer leaders" didn't have the guts to go where I went or to talk to the people I talked to.  I did play clarinet though. ;)

Hell, even in elementary school my friends wanted me to play mom when we played house...Ugh!

No, Obama's white. :P :D lol.

He is only 1/2 white.  Just like my boyfriend is only 1/2 white, the other 1/2 is "red".

Day_Tripper,

check out this Alpha/Wolf

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naomi_Wolf

I would do all the cookin' and cleaning,
take care of her house, whatever......

OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!

I have a couple of her books, too....

 ;D

Yeah, I'm familiar with her.  I know she wrote the Beauty Myth and talked about the new "disease" of anorexia.  I've known several people with that.

While Bush was the (s)elected president she kept running around calling the US a democracy.  That really annoyed me.  We're a republic.  She also told lawyers that the Declaration of Independence was a "contract".  A declaration is just that, a declaration.  We didn't contract with king george for our rights, we told/declared to him our rights and all of his ill doing.  We didn't ask permission or agreement from king george, we TOLD him the was it was going to be, whether he liked it or not.  Somewhere around here I pointed her out as a shill.  I don't trust her.

Here is the thread where I posted what I really think of her: http://www.theufobunker.com/index.php/topic,1278.0.html

I don't care what she looks like.  Anyone who refers to the US as a democracy and a declaration as a contract, is either uninformed or a liar.  Considering the Rhodes scholarship, the fact that she received one and who Cecil Rhodes was, she is a controlled operative/shill.

Progressive is an interesting word.  You call yourself "progressive", what is your definition of "progressive"?

When I see the word progressive I see the word progress.  When I'm shown what progress is I see land being destroyed and poisoned.  I see native populations being murdered, displaced and indoctrinated.  The "progress" of the 20th century brought us some incredible wars, torture and destruction.  When I see "progress" I'm not sure that it can be considered good.  So, do you believe that calling yourself a progressive is good?

Personally, I prefer the term liberal.  The definition of liberal that I understand is One who wants change.  I am a liberal, because I want change from the status quo.  I am also a classical liberal because I agree with some of our founding fathers like Jefferson and Paine.  I get called a conservative, but, my understanding of conservatives is that they don't want change.  That may apply to me in only one way, I don't want change away from the Constitution.

I think I first found Palast from a link off rense.com, before I ever found the BV.

The tea-party seems to be successful in some areas.  Rand Paul is on the republican ticket for his state.  Now, if we can just kick the Palin types out, it'd be back to the original intent.

Unfortunately, in my state, Rossi has now thrown his hat in the race for Senate against Murray.  >:(  He did this at the urging of the republican party.  Meanwhile, there are 6 or 8 guys who have been campaigning as Constitutional Republicans.  I guess, in a way, this is a good sign that these guys scared the status quo Republicans.  On the other hand, Rossi is a bought and payed for Republican who couldn't give a shit about the Constitution.  He also ran for governor and lost.  But, he already has the familiar name for lazy ignorant Republicrats.  I knew he was going to do this when I heard PBS shills talking about whether or not he would run and not mentioning any of the other guys that I had already seen speak.  Several of them I don't care for, one of whom has now been endorsed by Palin.  He praises Reagan and his christian deity way too much.  The guys I do like don't get any press what so ever.  I already have a Republicrat congress critter who voted for the (un)patriot act.  So far, the Campaign for Liberty can't find a viable Constitutional candidate to run against him.  The state Campaign for Liberty leader asked me if I was interested in running against Reichart since I live in his district.  I said, "hell no".

You know, I've had several people in conversations tell me that I ought to get into politics.  I dunno.  I hate Robert's Rules of Order.  I hate people who are manipulative.  I hate having to listen to idiots.  I think I'd get way too frustrated if I were to actually get elected to any office.  Besides, I'm way too honest for politics.
