As an example of Free Speech, I talk here, Freely.  However, I believe that I am responsible enough to respect the rest of you all and your Free Speech, to not actually attack anyone elses beliefs.

Exactly! I totally agree and I am the same way, but many people are very emotional physically and verbally when their belief structure is put to the test. Its sad, but that is how many are.

As I've said before, we're manipulated by our emotions.  It is so hard to discuss an issue with a person who's emotions cloud all logic and reason.  On the other hand, for me, often I find myself fueled by that emotion to research more.  So, sometimes the emotional arguments are a two edged sword.  A conversation can piss me off enough to learn more.  As a matter of fact, for me, that emotional reaction I've felt has been most of the fuel for me to research.  Believe me, I'm still emotional when it comes to what I've learned.  I don't like it and pissed isn't a strong enough word to describe my emotional reactions to it all.

However, what I've found in my experience, is that the people who were calm when giving out information and didn't name call, were the most effective in my own education.  Often the conversation would turn to humor.  Humor is a great tool when talking about the Truth.  The people who automatically dismissed ideas and name called I soon learned to dismiss anything they said.  Unless it was useful to me to enrage me to motivate me to dig deeper.  So, they too (probably unwittingly) were tools in my own learning and understanding.  I learned to take their articles and research the website it came from, the author of the article, etc.  Believe me, that is VERY powerful in discrediting disinfo.  Of course, those that are blind and/or shills won't care and will continue to name call.  But, on public websites, there are always lurkers who may just gain something from that discussion.

Never give up, Never surrender! ;)

Yeah i agree with the respect in free speech but respect is relative.   As soon as "somebody" starts deciding what is respectful or not for other people you're also limiting free speech.  It's relative, what is respectful and what is not.  I could come up with many of examples....  Free speech is meant to be free and limitless regardless of anyone else's feelings about "respect".

These people have their church in the Capitol of Kansas.  They are about 30 miles from where I live.  Everybody thinks they are freakin crazy here.  The guy's "church"  mostly just his family and extended family.  In addition to being anti gay they are also anti in the following - antisemitic, anti-Catholic, anti-Swedish, anti-Irish, and probably anti anything but himself.  He was also disbarred for purjury, accused of child abuse by two of his sons, accused of anphetamine and barbituate abuse by members of his family.  He has been arrested for assault, battery, threats, trespassing, disorderly conduct, and contempt of court.  Also he is one of the few people on earth that is not going to hell because he is special LOL.  here are a few amusing quotes by him.
“God doesn’t hate them because they’re fags; they’re fags because God hates them.”
Fag Jew Nazis are worse than ordinary Nazis. They’ve had more experience. Jews stirred up the Romans to butcher 6 million Christians in the catacombs in the 1st century. The First Holocaust was a Jewish Holocaust against Christians. The latest Holocaust is by Topeka Jews against WBC.
Anybody babbling about ‘multicultural affairs’ and ‘celebrating diversity’ is a propagandist for the militant sodomite agenda…Westboro Baptists will picket this black obfuscator, in religious protest and warning. Being black won’t get you to Heaven. But promoting fags will take you to Hell.
“This nation is poised to trash the first amendment just to stop my preaching. I'm kind of honored.”
This is what the minister who ordained Phelps says about him:
"Phelps developed a delusion wherein he was one of the few people on Earth worthy of God's grace and that everyone else in the world was going to Hell, and that salvation or damnation could be directly obtained by either aligning with or opposing him."

Some of the shit he spews is kinda amusing though.  He refers to the Pope as the "Godfather of the Pedophiles".

So yeah, he's a piece of shit but I still think he should be able to say whatever he wants.

welll..up to a point..if your spreading lies...its called "thow shall not bare false witness against thy neighbour"....but  if hes telling the truth..and being punished for it.....I guess he's a lil like Jesus ..and his apostles...

just my honest opinion...for whatever two sense its worth...in this crazy mixed up world...

just 2 sense....
